Art Shanty

I finally got my art shanty project done, but couldn't have picked a worse day. The wind was blowing so hard that my project kept falling apart and I wasn't able to frame the shanties as I had envisioned. My poor model and I froze our asses off. Hopefully we can laugh about it some day.

I've always been attracted too traditional Chinese designs and Art Nouveau, especially when it comes to patterns. I love how this young wallpaper designer expresses her color palette choices. "Sound is form, tone is color. We take flowing, lively shapes and knock them curiously off kilter. Colors, luminous and rich are made to dance across the paper and into the living space."

What inspires me most about Ryan's work is the fluidity with which he moves from medium to medium and context to context. He has a great understanding of marketing whether its on a skateboard or for retail.
